In Memory of John Lennon
Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
Am 09. Oktober wäre er 69 Jahre alt geworden: John Lennon.
Im Gedenken an den großartigen Künstler steht bei BEATLEMANIA Hamburg am kommenden Freitag alles im Zeichen dieses einen Beatles:

Musikalisch wird Eric Paisley an diesem Tag mit Live-Auftritten im YEAH!-Café an die Songs des am 08. Dezember 1980 in New York erschossenen Lennon erinnern – um 12, 16 und 19 Uhr.
Nur an diesem Tag wird eine limitierte Anzahl von Astrid Kirchherr signierter Exemplare des Bildbandes „The Many Faces Of John Lennon“ bei BEATLEMANIA erhältlich sein. Das Fotobuch zeigt John Lennon, wie er von der Hamburger Fotografin und ihren Kollegen gesehen wurde. Die verschiedenen Aufnahmen dokumentieren dabei hauptsächlich Lennons Zeit in Deutschland, sei es bei Live-Auftritten, Pressekonferenzen, Proben, Dreharbeiten, auf Reisen oder ganz privat. Mit der Unterschrift von Astrid Kirchherr wird aus dem Band ein ganz besonderes Andenken. |
Wer darüber hinaus auf großformatige Bilder steht, dem bietet BEATLEMANIA an diesem Tag im Ausstellungs-Shop John Lennon-Poster zu „Geburtstagspreisen“ an.
Als kleines Geschenk enthält jeder Besucher, der ebenfalls am 09. Oktober Geburtstag hat, freien Eintritt zu BEATLEMANIA. Dasselbe gilt für alle Ausstellungsbesucher, die am kommenden Freitag als John Lennon verkleidet zum Nobistor 10 kommen.

In memory of the great artist, this Friday at BEATLEMANIA Hamburg will feature some extra-special Beatles tributes:

Live in the YEAH!-Café, Eric Paisley will be performing songs (at noon, 4pm and 7pm) in remembrance of Lennon, who was shot dead in New York on December 8, 1980.
This Friday only, a limited number of signed copies of Astrid Kirchherr’s “The Many Faces Of John Lennon” will be available for purchase at BEATLEMANIA. The photographic collection provides an insight into John Lennon, as seen by the Hamburg photographer and her colleagues. Their images focus mainly on Lennon’s time in Germany – captured at rehearsals and live concerts, press conferences, film sessions, on the road and in private. Personally signed by Astrid Kirchherr, this is even more of a volume to treasure. |
Those looking for larger sized pictures will find John Lennon posters on sale at “birthday prices” in the BEATLEMANIA exhibition shop on this particular day.
Anyone who shares an October 9 birthday with John Lennon will receive a small gift in the form of free entry to BEATLEMANIA on the day itself. The same goes for anybody arriving at Nobistor 10 on Friday dressed as John Lennon.
A young John Lennon in the embryonic Hamburg days of The Beatles, the solo artist or Lennon the political activist – all are welcome on this special day.
